The Certificate IV in Small Business Management provides nationally recognised training that reflects the role of successful small business owners and managers.

This program develops participant skills to investigate business opportunities, develop marketing strategies, undertake business planning and build client networks. The program also covers important aspects of legal and risk management, financial management and promoting effective working relationships.

The Certificate IV program requires a total of 10 units of competency. The recommended program structure (see reverse side) can be tailored to meet your needs.

Program participants can achieve the qualification via different pathways. Participants who are self-employed can integrate learning and assessment strategies into their own business enterprise and take advantage of real life learning and assessment activities.

Participants with jobs can utilise their existing workplace as a learning environment and undertake assessment activities that can be useful to both employer and employee.

Learning and assessment activities include the use of workbooks that deliver key knowledge, practical activities, research activities, review of workplace policies and procedures, work-based assignments and workplace coaching.
Our Academy facilitators will provide ongoing coaching to support you throughout the course.
